Well then! It's been a real hell of a fun 18 years on Earth. So I'm 18 as of today. Another 3 or 4 more 18 years and I'll cease to exist. Ah, what a thought.

Anyway, I'd like to thank all who wished me a happy birthday! In chronological order, Diana dearest, Hope Mi, Janelle, Yuling, Wenny, Sheila, Angela, Jian Wei, Funan, Terance, Richard, Jun Li, Xuan Yi, Hermann, Ying Hui, Min Jie, Lisi (she somehow thinks being last is special =\), Fedora, Yong and Jiaqi. Thx guys! Oh, and of course, my parents and relatives. =D

S0, 18th birthday. Has to be a big event right? ... NOT. I'm a simple guy with simple desires and is simply satisfied with simple things. =D But it was a memorable one nonetheless. Went for bball on sat with the usual group. Zang, Nan, Jw, Sheng Jie, Lincoln, Fabian, Humphrey, Anthony, Shawn. Despite being totally exhausted, I rushed home to shower. My parents then brought me out for dinner.

Pizza Hut was the destination. Apparently they were supposed to close at 9. BUT, they were kind enough to extend their opening hours just for me! So nice of them!! Hope they were paid OT. =\ So then, had a filling dinner with my family and my Third uncle, aunt, and my cousins Astro and Kevin. My mum was giving talks again, saying about how the 18 yrs have been like. How is it like when children grow up. Yea..

I have no idea why, but everyone still had space for dessert! We then went to clarke quay's haagen dazs to eat fondue (Again. Zzz. Had this the day before with my beloved classmates, after a New York New York dinner. =D ). Enjoyed it though. As they say, it's never enough to enjoy the good things in life just once. Ah well. No guilty conscience about my weight anyway. =) Oh, the waitress attending to us was kinda cute. Adeline from SAJC. J1. Hmm. It'd be nice to make friends with her. She made the fondue at Haagen Dazs more enjoyable than it would have been.

On Sunday, my dearest sweetheart sacrificed her time to spend the day with me! (How sweet..) Went to Cine to catch Stardust, which I might add, is a really really nice show. An unconventional fantasy. Humorous and full of action. Had lunch at Pastamania, and she then came over to watch Heroes. Lol. What made the day special was simply her presence. Everything seems different when that special someone is around. Ahh..

Well then. It was a simple birthday. Nothing spectacular. But then again, without my friends, my classmates, my family, my gf.. This day would probably have been just another Sunday. Praise be to God for giving me such friends, such family. Once again, a very BIG thank you to all those who made an impact these past 2, 3 days. I really appreciate it. The thing about people making you feel special on your birthday? It makes one realise that people acknowlege your existence. That one isn't a mere human in the world, but a friend, a family, a loved one, to another person..
