those few are all that i need.
It's not the quantity of friends,

But the quality that counts. =)

I'm back from OBS! Woot! Bought 2 t-shirts. Haha. Ah. Finally got a good night's sleep. After 5 days of 4 hr sleeps in crazy conditions, i am finally able to go back to my soft, cozy bed, coupled with my ever comfortable pillows and quilt. ^.^

OBS Day 1 20/11

Reached sch abit late. Abt 0720 when we were supposed to meet by 0715. Took the bus to pungol jetty, and we were super early. Lol. The other schools that were there are Queenstown Sec, CHIJ St Teresa, St Hilda's Sec, Seng Kang Sec and Dunearn. Making us the eldest batch there. =x And so, we took the ferry over to OBS Camp 2.

Upon arrival, we waited again, and waited, and waited. Until finally, all the schools were present, and Chew Yien gave us the briefing. Chew Yien became out watch instructor. Haha. And then, OBS began.

We first had our lunch blindfolded and our hands tied to each other. Its like, my right is tied to Juan Chen's left, and my left, Michelle. -.- Luckily we decided to eat dry rations. Imagine cooking noodles blindfolded. That task was relatively simple. Then came the usual ice breaking games. Nothing much happened on day 1. We were supposed to do high elements. But damn the rain. =(

And so, due to the rain, we were unable to sleep in our tents. So we slept on the floor, using our ponchos as beds and blankets, life jackets as pillows. That night, we had the best sleep throughout the whole OBS. Lol.

OBS Day 2 21/11

Woke up early, cooked breakfast and did high elements. Climbed the obstacle known as the Nutcracker. Lol. All of us managed to complete the obstacle. Yay! After lunch, we headed out for our land expedition.

And so, we trekked, and trekked, until we reached the Quarry. There, we had to build a raft. We managed to finish our raft in time. Of course, it floated. Our watch had quite a lot of people with obs experience. Also, we had people from campcraft teams. Lol. Anyway, we got up the raft, and paddled to the middle of the quarry. Then, we were given the chance to play in the water! OMG. That was like one of the few chances we had to clean ourselve up.

We then trekked abt 50m to our campsite. 3 other watches were there. Cooked maggie mee.

OBS Day 3 22/11

Whole day of trekking. Omg. Went around the whole island of pulau ubin. =x There was a short moment where it rained for abt 2 hrs. So we had 2 hrs of rest at a shelter. The trek was really tiring. But we all completed it! Thx to the encouragement and assistance of each other. Woot! Lazy to go into details. Haha. So this day we just trekked, trekked and trekked.

We trekked all the way to the east, and back west to OBS camp 1, where we camped for the night. And it was there where i got all those damn sandfly bites. Argh. Many things happened here. But we were united and overcame it together.

OBS Day 4 23/11

After trekking back to camp 2, we embarked on out sea expedition. Kayaking. Fun, but it rained. Sigh. Was feelling kinda cold. Thankfully, the rain stopped. Lol. Such weird weather we had. And so, we kayaked, and kayaked, and kayaked. Me, juan chen, alex and li nan went to slp in the store room, secretly. Lol. But it was super cold there. Choosing between super cold and super warm + wet. Lol. Not much of a choice ya?

OBS Day 5 24/11

Anyone noticed the entries getting shorter and shorter? Lol. Stock taking, and lunch. Following that we boarded the ferry back to Sg.

The whole group of us, with the exception of ting ting, went to eat suki. After eating my fill i fell asleep. lol. Too tired i guess.

Reached home, showered, played some dota, and slept.

Well, that roughly summarizes my trip to obs.
